Martlets calls on the city to try a Triathlon with sporty window displays
Martlets Hospice have teamed up with the second Brighton and Hove Triathlon, taking place on Sunday 17th September, to encourage individuals to ‘TRI’ something new - excuse the pun.
The launch sees the introduction of triathlon window displays in Martlets Hospice charity shops, in both Peacehaven and on Blatchington Road. Visit the stores to pick up a bargain on swim, cycle and running kit donated by partners of Brighton and Hove Triathlon and the public. If you have any unworn activewear please donate to Martlets stores to help emphasise the accessibility of triathlon.
Lisa Clayton, Brighton and Hove Triathlon Director, said of the partnership: “We are delighted to have Martlets Hospice on board. They are a fabulous local charity who are extremely proactive and provide such support for the community. The window displays tie in with our belief that triathlon should be accessible for all, regardless of ability or income and we really hope local people donate kit to Martlets to help us on this mission. We look forward to working with the team in raising awareness of this great cause.”
As a charity, this is the first Triathlon Martlets have aligned with. Clem Hunnisett, Community Events Fundraiser, said: “We are delighted to be part of the second Brighton & Hove Triathlon. Martlets is a charity that cares for people living through a terminal illness in and around Brighton and Hove. Our care is only free thanks to the generosity of local people. Every donation we receive will help us change lives”
