Brighton and Hove Triathlon are delighted to announce that for this year’s Triathlon on Sunday 13th September, global cycling brand Cervélo have been signed as their Official Bike Partner.
Cervélo is one of the leading manufacturers of time trial and triathlon bikes and build some of the fastest road and triathlon bikes in the world.
Alex Croucher, Account Manager for Cervélo UK said, "Cervélo are delighted to be supporting the Brighton & Hove Triathlon for 2020. The event offers a great location with a fantastic course and most importantly a wonderful atmosphere for athletes and spectators alike. At Cervélo we have our heart in Triathlon and love supporting events which encompass the spirit of the sport. "
John Lunt, Triathlon Race Director and Company Owner said "We are delighted to partner with such an iconic triathlon brand. Cervélo, without a doubt, produce some fabulous triathlon bikes. We look forward to working closely with them".
During the weekend of the Triathlon on 12 & 13th September, Cervélo will have an Expo tent at the Event Village offering sampling and experiential activities. They will be on hand to answer any questions participants or spectators have on cycling.
This year will be the 5th Brighton and Hove Triathlon and with last year’s sell out weeks prior to the event, organisers are expecting a further surge in numbers this year. The Triathlon has grown to become the largest Triathlon on the South Coast with 1,600 competitors in 2019. This year organisers are expecting in excess of 2,000 participants over the course of the weekend.
Participants come from all over the UK as well as the USA, Hong Kong, Australia and Europe to compete on Hove seafront.
What began as academic research into bicycle dynamics has since evolved into the most sophisticated line-up of race engineered bikes in the world.
From the iconic Soloist to the unmistakable PX silhouette, Cervélo is credited with shaping the modern aero-road bike and continue to lead future design trends. In an industry dominated by goliaths, no other bike company embodies the same “garagista” spirit of competing at the highest level through deep technical knowledge, resourcefulness and sheer dogged determination.
Whether you’re a Grand Tour racer or weekend enthusiast, Ironman champion or age-grouper, we all share a drive to succeed. At Cervélo, we learn from past results, but never fixate on looking back. Our people channel their passion into only making high calibre products capable of raising expectations and raising your game. Together, we push our sport forward.
At the Beijing Olympics Cervélo bikes were ridden by over forty Olympic athletes, resulting in three Gold, five Silver and two Bronze medals .
